About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS and Natural Resource Data Analyst to join our team at the State of Montana. As a key member of our Geographic Data Services Bureau, you will play a critical role in managing statewide GIS data and services, developing official map publications, and providing technical support and outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage statewide GIS data and services
  • Develop official map publications and data analysis
  • Provide technical support and outreach to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-division and cross-agency teams
Requirements
  • Minimum of four years of relevant GIS work experience
  • Experience creating compelling digital and hard copy map products
  • Spatial data management experience, including implementing spatial analysis and GIS workflows
  • Working knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Advanced experience with Esri products, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey 123, Dashboards, and Experience Builder
