Orthopedic Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Representative to join our team at OrthoConnecticut. As a key member of our patient registration team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and register patients in a prompt and professional manner, ensuring all required information is collected and accurately entered into our system.
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, and assign benefits as necessary.
- Assist patients in completing required medical history forms and collect co-pays, unpaid balances, and installment payments.
- Schedule new patients for appointments and follow protocol for daily changes in physician schedules.
- Collect and review meaningful use information, including ethnicity, smoking history, active medications, and medication allergies.
- High school graduation or equivalent required; post-graduate degree preferred.
- At least one year of work experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and insurance verification preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate a mature, dependable, and responsible approach when interacting with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A competitive salary range of $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.
