Job Title: Space Assembly Integration Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Assembly Integration Lead to join our team at Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD. As a key member of our Payload and Ground Systems organization, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical assembly and inspection of Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) antennas for a production Space Payload program.

Responsibilities:
  • Set daily direction for 6 Engineering Technicians
  • Report daily status
  • Execute on program-directed priority and schedule needs
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineering/Mission Assurance (QE/MA), Inspection, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Program Manager (OPM), and Production Planner
Requirements:
  • Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
  • Sr. Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
  • Mechanical assembly of flight hardware experience
  • People leadership, scheduling, and tasking experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) antenna assembly experience
  • Space Sensor/Payload assembly experience
  • Cleanroom procedures experience
  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering

This position is on-site in a classified, high bay cleanroom at our Maryland Space Assembly and Test (MSAT) facility adjacent to the BWI Airport in Linthicum/Baltimore, Maryland. We offer a competitive salary range of $102,400 - $153,600 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
