Job Overview

We are actively seeking a Professional Land Survey Manager to enhance our operational capabilities.

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will undertake a range of supervisory and technical responsibilities within the land surveying domain. This role necessitates the application of contemporary technology, extensive survey expertise, and relevant experience to oversee diverse survey initiatives linked to land surveys for the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, structures, and environmental management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs survey projects and maintains client communication
  • Supervises multiple survey teams and provides essential technical guidance
  • Conducts complex tasks such as the compilation of deed mosaics and the assessment of right-of-way plans, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and construction layout
  • Manages project timelines and financial resources
  • Ensures adherence to all quality assurance and quality control protocols
  • Identifies new business opportunities and demonstrates proficient technical writing skills
  • Recommends hiring decisions for survey personnel
  • Facilitates team development and mentors junior staff members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Massachusetts
  • Over 10 years of experience holding a PLS license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence
  • Exhibits a positive demeanor, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in both independent and collaborative environments
  • Familiarity with Civil3D, MicroStation, and Carlson Survey is preferred
  • Experience in project management is advantageous
