Job Overview

Dawood Engineering, Inc. is a leading provider of multidisciplinary consulting services across various sectors, including Transportation, Energy, and Land Planning/Site Development.

We are currently in search of a Licensed Land Surveyor to enhance our operations in the Braintree, MA office.

Position Summary:

This role encompasses a range of technical responsibilities associated with land surveying. The selected candidate will leverage modern technology, survey expertise, and prior experience to take charge of diverse survey activities related to land surveys that are essential for the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, structures, geotechnical assessments, flood control initiatives, stormwater management, recreational areas, land development, subdivisions, and other engineering endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee survey projects and maintain communication with clients
  • Manage multiple survey teams and office personnel while providing technical guidance
  • Independently execute complex tasks, including the assembly of deed mosaics and the review of right-of-way plans, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and construction stakeout
  • Administer project budgets and timelines
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate quality assurance and quality control standards
  • Identify new business opportunities and demonstrate strong technical writing skills
  • Recommend hiring of survey personnel and related staff

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must effectively fulfill each essential duty outlined below:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience
  • SIT certification required; PLS certification or the ability to obtain it within one year is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's license is necessary
  • Candidates should possess a positive demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Experience with Civil3D, MicroStation, and Carlson Survey is preferred
  • Project management experience is advantageous

Compensation: Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000

This position is subject to pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
