Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Relations Representative to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a key member of our staff, you will serve as a liaison between guests, staff, and patients, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a positive experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and timely information to guests, staff, and patients, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of inquiries.
  • Act as a central resource for staff, patients, and guests, facilitating visitor flow and providing directions as needed.
  • Update diet orders and verify patient diet upon tray deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely service.
  • Monitor tube systems and handle medications in accordance with safe handling practices, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Electronically transfer patients in and out of the unit, facilitating direct admit processes and completing discharge documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Enter staff assignments into the Responder 5 System and verify staff have logged in and out, ensuring accurate tracking and review of assignments.
  • Serve as a central information resource to physicians, family, co-workers, and health team members, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Arrange for patient transport services, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Answer patient calls in a timely manner, identifying self and addressing patients by name, taking appropriate action to resolve inquiries.
  • Maintain centrally accessible resource materials, including phone books and quick reference guides for supplies.
  • Serve as a resource regarding electronic medical records (EMR), requesting outside medical records and scanning documents into the EMR.
  • Break down charts and transport them to Health Information Management, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Clean and organize the work area upon arrival, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Check copiers and printers at the beginning of the shift, ensuring accurate and timely operation.
  • Enter work orders and order supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain nourishment stations, waiting rooms, and consultation rooms, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for patients and guests.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No experience required.
  • No licensure/certification/registration required.
