Job Summary

The IT Technician is a key member of the Owensboro Racing and Gaming team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT initiatives. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain system, network, and security performance, identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with IT projects and support the IT staff to ensure continuity of service.
  • Develop and maintain Knowledge Base documentation, making recommendations for improvement and addressing technical process inadequacies.
  • Provide on-site support for end-user problems, escalating issues as needed and communicating accurate information to the IT staff.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing end-user training and support as necessary.
  • Leverage the ticket system to ensure proper and timely execution, acting as a liaison between site resources and corporate resources to escalate tickets as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive device information, adhering to Owensboro Racing and Gaming policy and procedures.
  • Execute approved initiatives by coordinating with support teams within the IT department and vendors participating in projects.
  • Identify and request all materials and external resources required to meet project deadlines.
  • Respond to recognized regulatory entities regarding any reported infraction to regulations.
  • Assist the IT leadership in researching compliance regulations for potential IT acquisitions related to gaming or other related business operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Certification
  • Associate's degree in computer networking or a related field preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Experience in Microsoft environments, network management, and IT security
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to hear, sit, stand, talk, and walk with repetitive use of hands 51-100% of the time
  • Up to 25% travel when necessary
  • Ability to balance, climb, bend over, crawl, crouch/stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and turn/twist 1-24% of the time
  • Ability to push/pull, carry, lift, slide/transfer 1-50+ lbs. 80%-100% of the time
