Job Summary:

As a Parts and Service Sales Representative at Sudden Service, Inc., you will be responsible for generating sales to customers for parts, assemblies, truck rebuilds, used parts, and vision plus. You will act as a liaison between Taylor Machine Works and the customer, helping to resolve any problems they may have with receiving parts, quality of work performed by service personnel, quality of rebuilt components, invoicing, and any other issues necessary to maintain a positive relationship with the customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate sales to customers for parts, assemblies, truck rebuilds, used parts, and vision plus.
  • Act as a liaison between Taylor Machine Works and the customer, helping to resolve any problems they may have.
  • Quote service in the field and work with customer relations.
  • Keep the rolling warehouse stocked with parts and rotating parts with turning inventory, as directed by the Manager of Inventory Control.
  • Provide a detailed call report to the Sudden Service Manager weekly to discuss customer concerns and demands in the field.
  • Communicate twice daily with the direct parts representatives, passing on any information or parts orders.
  • Make constant recommendations and suggestions for merchandising programs and the benefits of preventative or full maintenance agreements.

Requirements:
  • Previous sales and customer service experience required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record to be insurable by corporate insurance carrier.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Travel out of town two to three times per week.
  • Knowledge of the Taylor Parts preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with an organization.

Education and Experience:
  • High school education or GED equivalent.
