Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Server to join our team at the Owensboro Convention Center. As a Server, you will provide exceptional hospitality to our guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of our menu and special items to ensure accurate and timely service to our guests.
  • Provide quick, attentive, and friendly service to banquet guests, communicating clearly with all customers.
  • Ensure food items are served at the proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
  • Present all ordered items neatly, with no spill-over, and pre-bus tables and full buses tables when necessary during peak periods.
  • Stock beverage stations when necessary and maintain high responsiveness to customer desires and requests.
  • Maintain a professional and clean appearance and communicate effectively with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve communication and coordination.
  • Build and maintain knowledge regarding bar offerings to accurately answer patron questions.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
  • Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related Food Service Job Experience.
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment and communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
