POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Manager of Product Lines will spearhead the Women's & Youth category within the PFG segment, crafting seasonal product strategies that resonate with the mission of Making Angling Accessible to All. This role is pivotal in executing seasonal line plans and ensuring effective Go-To-Market initiatives on a global scale. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a unified vision for the product line that meets consumer demands while fostering profitable growth.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the apparel and footwear sector, demonstrating a strong sense of fashion trends, exceptional analytical capabilities, and a proven history of enhancing sales and profitability through strategic merchandising.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Formulate and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies for apparel and footwear that align with the company's overarching business goals and market dynamics. Partner with design and product development teams to ensure the creation of commercially viable products that fulfill customer requirements and market expectations. Strategically plan and manage product assortments, ensuring a balanced and profitable product mix across diverse channels and markets. Oversee inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to achieve optimal inventory turnover and minimize surplus stock. Analyze sales metrics, market trends, and customer insights to pinpoint opportunities and challenges, adjusting merchandising strategies as necessary. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and vendors to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality products at competitive rates. Collaborate closely with visual merchandising teams to create engaging in-store displays and online presentations that enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales. Develop and implement promotional strategies and markdown plans to maximize sales and profitability. Mentor and guide junior merchandisers, providing support and direction to ensure team success and professional growth. Work in conjunction with marketing, sales, and e-commerce teams to ensure cohesive and effective merchandising strategies across all platforms.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline. A master's degree is advantageous or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in merchandising and product line management, preferably within the apparel and footwear industry. Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective merchandising strategies. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools. Familiarity with merchandising software and inventory management systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. A keen eye for fashion trends and a strong sense of style and aesthetics.
