Job Title: Youth Crisis Line Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Crisis Line Supervisor to join our team at Lines for Life. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring our volunteer YouthLine Peer Helpers and Coaching Volunteers, providing support and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to youth in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor volunteer YouthLine Peer Helpers and Coaching Volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide effective support to youth in crisis.
  • Collaborate with the Youth Development team to provide ongoing training and development opportunities for youth volunteers and interns.
  • Establish and promote a culture of inclusivity and community among youth volunteers and staff members.
  • Implement and follow all protocols and procedures for supporting youth who reach out to the YouthLine help, support, and crisis line.
  • Work independently to manage calls, texts, and chats that require staff intervention.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve technology issues that arise in the YouthLine call center.
  • Identify and provide access to resources that can support youth in crisis.
  • Attend regular meetings with the team, including weekly supervision and monthly all-staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related social sciences field.
  • Crisis intervention training.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with youth.
  • Proficient in database and MS Office computer environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support youth.
  • Ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment.
