Anesthesiologist Position at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join their team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Anesthesiologist to work in a dynamic and growing practice, with ample leadership opportunities and a chance to make a meaningful impact in the community.
Responsibilities- Determine and prescribe kinds of anesthetics and procedures to be employed in various categories of cases, including light pediatrics, obstetric, neuro, orthopedics, and plastics.
- Advise Anesthetists and Surgeons in cases where age or condition of patient presents unusual or complex problems.
- Recommend suitable anesthesia, advise on dosages, and consult on post-operative complications.
- Review case histories and be responsible for all matters pertaining to Anesthesiology.
- Lectures to and trains Anesthetists, Residents, and auxiliary staff.
- A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York.
- Experience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not required.
- Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology.
The annual base salary is $390,000* (board eligible) and $400,000* (board certified), with additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $637,350** (board eligible) and $650,000** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
The compensation package includes:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
-Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
-After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
