Senior Financial Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is in search of a Senior Financial Accountant to support our client. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility. The Senior Financial Accountant will be instrumental in assisting the Controller and Finance Department by generating comprehensive financial reports and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain financial documentation, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial activities.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing procedures to guarantee precise financial statements and reports.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
- Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring invoice verification, proper coding, approvals, and timely payments.
- Prepare and interpret financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Track and control expenses to ensure they align with budgetary and financial objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of sales/use tax returns, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Work collaboratively with external auditors during financial audits, supplying necessary documentation and support.
- Generate and present financial reports, statements, and analyses to management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as MIP Fund Accounting, is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Compensation: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
