Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting patient encounters, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient encounters, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Medical Terminology: Possess a working knowledge of medical terminology and be able to apply it in a clinical setting.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Develop strong relationships with patients, physicians, and staff members.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including ordering diagnostic tests and surgeries, and inputting prescriptions and medication regimens.
  • Medical Coding and Billing: Assist with medical coding and billing processes.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology and EMR experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in typing (60 wpm or higher) and computer literacy.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

The position requires coordination, manual, and physical dexterity to properly use medical equipment and office equipment. The incumbent must be able to assist patients in transferring from a wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTA offices for support purposes.
