Job Summary

ENT and Allergy of FL. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a vital role in documenting patient encounters and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Patient Encounters: Accurately document patient encounters, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Ensure that medical records are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Support Clinical Staff: Assist clinical staff with data entry, ordering diagnostic tests, and facilitating communication between healthcare providers and staff members.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient data, ensuring that it is consistent with medical records and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Medical Terminology: Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Typing Speed: >60 wpm typing speed.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and staff members.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • EMR Experience: Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software.
  • Computer Literacy: Strong computer literacy, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors in medical records.
  • Medical Ethics: Understanding of medical ethics and confidentiality.
