Key Responsibilities

The Senior Healthcare Administration Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:
  • Insurance Verification and Enrollment: Confirming patients' insurance coverage and benefits prior to service delivery, processing new enrollments, and updating existing policies in the system.
  • Patient Communication: Engaging with patients to address billing inquiries, payment options, and resolving discrepancies related to their accounts.
  • Claim Management: Preparing and submitting insurance claims to various providers, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Generating and dispatching bills and invoices to patients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all statements.
  • Payment Reconciliation: Recording and reconciling payments from insurance companies and patients, ensuring accurate application to accounts.
  • Denial Management: Investigating and resolving denied claims, correcting errors, and resubmitting for payment.
  • Compliance: Maintaining adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for accurate billing and address any related issues.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing regular reports on billing activities, tracking outstanding balances, and analyzing payment trends.
  • System Management: Utilizing and maintaining billing software and electronic health record systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Health Information Management

The Coordinator will also assist in:
  • Creating and maintaining essential data and records for care delivery and quality assessment.
  • Collaborating with administrative and clinical staff to generate population lists and send notifications regarding health compliance.
  • Managing data import and export between multiple systems.
  • Supporting research initiatives by coordinating data collection and reporting.

Information Technology Support

Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the maintenance and support of HCC software and IT operations.
  • Providing end-user support for HCC staff.

Patient Services

The role involves:
  • Efficiently scheduling patient appointments and maintaining provider schedules.
  • Preparing and updating patient schedules, including confirmations and cancellations.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment.
  • 2-5 years of experience in health insurance, customer service, or administrative roles.
  • Working knowledge of medical billing and coding, as well as federal and state insurance regulations.
