Position Overview:

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist with a strong background in scientific research, analytical methods, and engineering principles.

Essential Skills:
  • Proven experience in Finite Element Analysis/Method
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, FORTRAN, MATLAB, or similar
  • Experience in a *nix-based operating system
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and methodologies used in FEM
  • Experience in conducting sensitivity analyses
  • Ability to effectively communicate research findings through presentations and publications
  • Experience in addressing multi-physics challenges
  • Familiarity with cellular-level modeling is a plus
  • Knowledge in Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Biomechanics, and Radio Frequency
  • Understanding of computational techniques in electromagnetism, mechanics, and thermodynamics
  • Experience with deep learning methods applicable to computational biology
Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is necessary
  • Master's or PhD degree in biomedical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computer science, electrical engineering, numerical analysis, or related disciplines
  • 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience in either academic or industrial environments
  • Must be a highly motivated, organized, and independent thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and innovative environment with a strong ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,226 - $103,500, subject to adjustment based on experience and location.

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week

Travel Requirements:
Less than 10%
