At Amgen, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the field of proteomics. As a computational biologist/bioinformatics scientist, you'll play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex proteomics data to drive innovation and discovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement data analysis, management, and visualization strategies for proteomics/phosphoproteomics/glycoproteomics data
  • Develop and establish computational solutions for differential protein expression analysis, protein turnover rate estimation, and protein-protein interaction identification
  • Collaborate with scientists from different functions and therapeutic areas to deliver and present analysis results to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with proteomic platforms for data integration and mining, and utilize available external resources where appropriate
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Proteomics, or Biology
  • OR Masters degree and 2 years of scientific experience
  • OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of scientific experience
  • Expertise in large-scale quantitative proteomics and other omics data analysis
  • Fluency in Python, R, and SQL, and familiarity with analytic techniques/packages necessary for statistical analysis, data processing, data ingestion, data visualization, and basic machine learning approaches
