Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bioinformatics Scientist to join our Antibody Discovery and Engineering Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing bioinformatics systems to support the discovery and design of novel biologics. Your expertise in next-generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatics tools will be instrumental in driving our research forward.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement bioinformatics tools for analysis of next-generation sequencing data to facilitate discovery and design of protein therapeutics.
- Collaborate with our high-functioning team to expand the throughput of antibody screening workflows, including curation, analysis, and interpretation of large data sets.
- Lead the design and optimization of our data model in Benchling to improve data entry, organization, and visibility.
- Present strategies, approaches, results, and conclusions effectively within the Antibody Engineering Team and other functional teams.
- Establish and strengthen the interface between teams, including streamlining communication, operations, and data systems.
- Expertise in setting up a GIT repository and working with a collaborative programming environment.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or other programming languages.
- Experience designing and building custom computer hardware for big data/machine learning analysis.
- Goal-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing across multiple projects.
- A track record of innovation, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to contribute constructively to discussions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident, independent, and decisive; proactive and results-oriented with high performance standards.
- Demonstrated experience in development of bioinformatics tools for analysis of next-generation sequencing data.
- Experience with SQL and Benchling, or other laboratory information management systems.
- In-depth understanding of antibody sequence, structure, and binding kinetics.
- Expertise with protein design using computational tools.
- Experience with machine learning and AI-based approaches for biotherapeutic design and optimization.
Tentarix Biotherapeutics, Inc. offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $110,000 to $150,000, plus bonus target, benefits, and equity.
