Director of Bioinformatics

At Harnham, we're seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our bioinformatics efforts. As Director of Bioinformatics, you'll be responsible for leading a team of bioinformaticians and data scientists in developing and maintaining complex NGS pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of bioinformaticians and data scientists in building and maintaining complex NGS pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with lab scientists and engineers to drive innovation
  • Develop algorithms and computational infrastructure for gene-editing applications
  • Coordinate and encourage standardized coding best practices

Requirements:

  • PhD in Bioinformatics or a related field
  • At least six years of experience in bioinformatics, with at least two years in a leadership capacity
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience with cloud computing systems (e.g. AWS)
