We are in search of a dynamic business leader to assume the role of Small Business President/CEO for one of our network companies in the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the president of a small retail business.
- Oversee all aspects of business strategy, operations, and P&L management.
- Lead a skilled team of existing employee owners.
This role involves:
- Developing and guiding a team to enhance business growth through marketing, outreach, and the introduction of new product lines and accounts.
- Managing cash flow and financial obligations, collaborating with the bookkeeper to make informed decisions regarding ongoing expenses and capital investments, optimizing efficiencies, and establishing business metrics.
- Addressing HR-related matters, including staff disputes, employee performance evaluations, promotions, and bonuses.
- Evaluating business practices and methods, while fostering team development and growth opportunities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Collaborating with Teamshares and fellow shareholders throughout the transition to employee ownership, coaching them to understand how adopting an owner's mindset can enhance business outcomes and company culture.
- Being a proactive leader who enjoys working with employee owners to refine company operations and explore revenue expansion opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in growth and strategic planning, with a proactive approach to building external business partnerships and driving revenue growth.
- Experience in monitoring financial performance against targets and making necessary adjustments to meet organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to fostering collaboration among all employees.
- Proven leadership skills through previous work experiences; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with a humble approach.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building and developing businesses.
