Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Sales Development Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our sales representatives, preparing shipment price quotes, and contributing to promotional efforts.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in logistics, sales, and marketing while working with a dynamic team.

Compensation and Schedule

The salary range for this position is $20-23 per hour, based on industry experience. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, in a fully in-office setting in Inver Grove Heights.

Responsibilities
  1. Offer comprehensive administrative assistance to two internal sales representatives.
  2. Aid in preparing shipment price quotes, setting up customer accounts, and handling various tasks assigned by sales representatives.
  3. Contribute to promotional efforts and marketing strategies aimed at expanding market share.
  4. Assist in creating and refining marketing and sales materials.
  5. Generate and provide sales forecast data and actual performance insights to Branch management as required.
  6. Utilize customer and prospect contact management systems, updating relevant information and activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with logistics principles, including contract management and tariff applications.
  • Strong skills in quantitative analysis and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
  • Prior experience in logistics is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of logistics planning and analysis.
  • Preferred knowledge of international trade practices, including sales terms, payment methods, and customs regulations.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrates high personal accountability.
