Mechatronics Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at Brose. As a Fastening Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, engineering, and improving threaded fasteners, joints, and plant programmable logic controller (PLC)-based threaded fastening screwdrivers and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, engineer, and improve threaded fasteners, joints, and plant programmable logic controller (PLC)-based threaded fastening screwdrivers and equipment.
- Develop and assure setup, calibration, and programming of threaded fastening controllers to Siemens PLCs for operation.
- Sequencing and control of production fastening equipment, including Apex and Desoutter transducerized nutsetters.
- Assure robustness of plant fastening processes to produce tight unions of safety-critical mechatronic threaded joints.
- Perform threaded fastening technologies problem-solving and extract lessons learned for future technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Twenty-four months' experience as a Fastening Engineer, Fastening Specialist, or related role.
- Experience in engineering or improving threaded fasteners and plant programmable logic controller (PLC)-based threaded fastening screwdrivers and equipment.
