POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the precision and reliability of retail store inventory through the analysis of various inventory reports, conducting inventory audits as needed, and effectively communicating findings with store management. This versatile role collaborates with sales teams, receiving departments, and retail leadership to uphold inventory accuracy, enhance replenishment processes, and drive sales while minimizing merchandise loss and shrinkage. Additionally, this position offers customer service support throughout the store, engaging with customers in a friendly and prompt manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing assistance and information as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures inventory integrity and accuracy by performing on-demand and scheduled inventory cycle counts. Conducts assessments of empty peg and display integrity within departments and makes necessary inventory adjustments to maintain stock levels and replenishment. Investigates and resolves all inventory variance reports, including negative on-hand reviews, aged in transit, and purchase order discrepancies. Reviews and disseminates price change reports to department leadership, completing inventory reviews and adjustments based on returned reports as necessary. Communicates opportunities, issues, and discrepancies with Store Leadership for evaluation and resolution. Delivers an exceptional experience for every customer by assisting them in making informed purchasing decisions through identifying and assessing their needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up. Performs all other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Years of experience: TwoKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Proficient in using System Two, RF/Gizmo devices, and DOMO reporting tools. Capable of generating and analyzing inventory reports. Skilled in processing and organizing information effectively. Competent in writing reports and presenting findings to management. Effective communicator with retail sales floor teams and leadership regarding price changes and inventory accuracy.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to utilize ladders and/or lifts. Regular computer work, walking, sitting, and standing. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Utilizes judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired outcomes.
