Position Overview:

  • Provide care to patients across various clinics in the Greater El Paso Metro area, including home visits, telemedicine, and mobile consultations.
  • Collaborate with our affiliated WellMed physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and clinic personnel.
  • Work together to deliver a comprehensive and coordinated care model primarily for a Medicare-aged demographic enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
  • Educate healthcare providers on appropriate coding practices, risk adjustment metrics, and quality protocol adherence.
  • Conduct patient interviews to ensure accurate documentation and completion of preventative screenings.
  • Performance metrics will be monitored and reported in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and operational requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary complemented by an annual quality incentive target of $15,000.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current licensure from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or as a Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board.
  • Possession of a valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Experience managing a predominantly Medicare-aged patient population.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of primary care and chronic condition coding.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Understanding of and support for a managed care environment.
