Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Position Overview:
- Provide care to patients across various clinics in the Greater El Paso Metro area, including home visits, telemedicine, and mobile consultations.
- Collaborate with our affiliated WellMed physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and clinic personnel.
- Work together to deliver a comprehensive and coordinated care model primarily for a Medicare-aged demographic enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
- Educate healthcare providers on appropriate coding practices, risk adjustment metrics, and quality protocol adherence.
- Conduct patient interviews to ensure accurate documentation and completion of preventative screenings.
- Performance metrics will be monitored and reported in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and operational requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary complemented by an annual quality incentive target of $15,000.
- Participation in the Optum Care Advanced Provider Clinician Partnership Plan.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current licensure from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or as a Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board.
- Possession of a valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience managing a predominantly Medicare-aged patient population.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of primary care and chronic condition coding.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Understanding of and support for a managed care environment.
