Assisted Stretching Specialist

StretchLab is in search of dedicated professionals such as certified personal trainers, licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, LPN/RN's, athletic trainers, and health/fitness experts to fill the role of a Flexologist. This position offers a unique chance to apply your expertise in human movement to enhance the well-being of our clients.
As a leader in one-on-one assisted stretching, StretchLab provides a distinctive service where clients experience stretching rather than just being instructed on how to stretch. Our team comprises highly qualified individuals who are certified, licensed, or hold degrees in various health and fitness disciplines. We take pride in our exceptional team of stretching specialists and are eager to welcome more talented individuals.
We are currently looking for a full-time employee or two part-time employees. The schedule will typically involve working five weekdays and one weekend day (Saturday 9am-1pm or Sunday 10am-2pm). Evening shifts may be required, but not every evening, as our hours extend until 7pm on three days. For full-time candidates, the role will initially combine Flexologist responsibilities with front desk and sales duties, transitioning to a more hands-on approach as you become comfortable. Part-time candidates will likely engage in hands-on work from the outset.
Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the skills necessary for stretching, as well as front desk and sales training for those interested in full-time positions. We seek individuals who are committed to a long-term career with us, ideally for a minimum of one year.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Conduct personalized assisted stretching sessions
- Motivate and support clients throughout their stretching journey
- Promote StretchLab memberships and maintain client relationships
- Ensure client safety by applying proper stretching techniques and adhering to company policies
- Participate in staff meetings and educational workshops
- Address member inquiries and concerns as needed
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all equipment
Qualifications:
- A passion for fitness and a strong interest in stretching, mobility, and flexibility
- Experience in a health/fitness setting providing hands-on client training
- Current certification, license, or degree in a fitness or health-related field (must include anatomy/physiology)
- Able to foster a welcoming and positive environment for all clients
- Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of empathy
- Enjoy connecting with individuals and assisting them in achieving their goals
- Exhibit a professional work ethic, reliability, and adherence to attendance policies
- Willingness to complete our Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person training (compensation provided)
- Preferred backgrounds include:
- Licensed Physical Therapist
- Licensed Massage Therapist
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants
- Licensed Occupational Therapists
- LPN / RN (not applicable for CNA)
- Certified Athletic Trainer
- Certified Personal Trainer
- Certified Pilates, Yoga, or Dance Instructor
- Degree holders in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or Human Biomechanics
- Other wellness/fitness certifications or degrees will be considered individually
