Certified Stretching Specialist
StretchLab is in search of certified fitness professionals, licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, LPN/RN's, athletic trainers, and health/fitness graduates to fill the role of a Stretching Specialist. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in human movement and wellness in a supportive environment that enhances the quality of life for our clients.
As a leader in personalized assisted stretching, StretchLab provides a distinctive experience where clients are actively stretched rather than instructed on how to stretch. Our team consists of qualified professionals with certifications, licenses, or degrees in various health and fitness disciplines. StretchLab is proud to offer the only nationally accredited training program that guarantees our clients receive exceptional stretching sessions.
We are currently seeking a full-time employee or two part-time employees. The schedule requires availability for approximately five weekdays and one weekend day (Saturday 9am-1pm or Sunday 10am-2pm). Evening shifts may be necessary, but not every evening, as our latest operating hours are until 7pm on three days. For full-time candidates, the role will initially involve a mix of hands-on Flexologist responsibilities and front desk/sales duties. As you become more comfortable, your role will transition to focus more on hands-on stretching. Part-time candidates will likely start with hands-on responsibilities immediately.
Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the skills necessary for stretching, and additional training for front desk/sales roles is available for full-time candidates. We are looking for individuals who are committed to a long-term career with us, as this is not a short-term position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Conduct one-on-one assisted stretching sessions
- Motivate and support clients throughout their stretching journey
- Promote StretchLab memberships and maintain client relationships
- Ensure client safety by applying proper stretching techniques and adhering to StretchLab policies
- Participate in staff meetings and educational sessions
- Address member concerns as needed
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all equipment
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for fitness and a strong interest in stretching, mobility, and flexibility
- Experience in a fitness or health setting providing hands-on client training
- Current certification, license, or degree in a fitness or health-related field (must include anatomy/physiology)
- Ability to foster a welcoming environment for all clients
- Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of empathy
- Enthusiasm for connecting with individuals and assisting them in achieving their wellness goals
- Professional work ethic, reliability, and adherence to attendance policies
- Willingness to complete our Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person training (compensation provided)
- Preferred backgrounds include:
- Licensed Physical Therapist
- Licensed Massage Therapist
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants
- Licensed Occupational Therapists
- LPN / RN (CNA not applicable)
- Certified Athletic Trainer
- Certified Personal Trainer
- Certified Pilates, Yoga, or Dance Instructor
- Degree holders in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or Human Biomechanics
- Other wellness/fitness certifications or degrees considered on an individual basis
