About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Life Sciences Solutions Group, you will be responsible for developing and growing our world-class delivery solutions that enable scientists to modify cells for research, therapeutic development, and GMP commercial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Evolve Business Strategies
    • Drive growth and expansion of the portfolio through strategic planning and execution.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Projects
    • Collaborate with finance, marketing, research and development, commercial, strategy, business development, operations, and legal teams to drive successful product, service, and digital solution launches.
  • Initiate Operational Improvement Activities
    • Work with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, R&D, and Finance to improve operational efficiency and provide business insights on operation prioritization.
  • Research and Develop New Market Applications
    • Identify emerging market segments and develop new market applications and digital tools to improve the customer journey.
  • Capture Industry Intelligence
    • Proactively capture industry, market, competitor, supplier, and product intelligence related to the business segment's interests within the Biotech, Biopharma, and Research markets.
  • Build and Implement Operating Mechanisms
    • Develop and implement operating mechanisms to improve business team efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a life science discipline.
    • Advanced degree preferred in Life Sciences and/or business field.
  • Experience
    • 5 to 8 years of demonstrated success in a product management, strategic consulting, marketing, project management, life science commercial, or research and development roles.
    • Experience in life science product or services commercialization process, nucleic acid delivery for vaccine and therapeutics, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies, or drug development to commercialization is a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Solid understanding of business operations, ability to analyze data, effective written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Creative, passionate, curious, and skilled at leading without formal authority.
    • Ability to work within a matrix, cross-functional environment.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and globally.

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $143,000.00–$180,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
