Job Summary

The Social Worker II plays a vital role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of urgent healthcare services in the emergency center by addressing the psychosocial needs of patients and their families in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supportive services to individuals traumatized, victimized, unsafe, and coping poorly, or displaced.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address mental health concerns.
  • Assess and address the psychosocial needs of patients and their families in crisis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to provide patients with necessary support services.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work is required.
  • Must have the following State of Ohio license - LSW or LISW.
  • Must have a minimum of three years' experience in individual, group, and family counseling.
  • Experience in an emergency healthcare setting is preferred.
  • The ability to work effectively with professionals in diverse disciplines is essential.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to move about the hospital and between workstations.
  • Prolonged periods of standing are required.
  • Must be able to understand directions, communicate, and respond to inquiries.
  • Requires effective interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to operate machinery.
  • Must be able to frequently move, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs., 20% of the time.
  • Must be able to input and retrieve from the computer.
