Position Overview:
Are you skilled in equity analysis and capital market dynamics? At Fisher Investments, our Securities Research Group plays a crucial role in supporting the portfolio management team, which oversees assets exceeding $250 billion and caters to high-net-worth clients as well as prestigious institutions. We are currently in search of finance and research-focused individuals to become part of our Securities Research Analyst team.

The Role:
Securities Analysts are pivotal in enhancing portfolio performance through timely and insightful evaluations of stock holdings across various strategies and in-depth industry research for the Investment Policy Committee (IPC). Analysts specialize in specific sectors, gaining insights into trends and market movements.

In this collaborative environment, you will develop your research acumen and market knowledge alongside driven colleagues who share a passion for financial markets. You will receive comprehensive training, honing both quantitative and qualitative skills essential for successful analysts. Your expertise will grow within your designated sector, enabling you to identify emerging trends and their relevance to Fisher Investments' overarching themes. You will report directly to the Securities Research Manager.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of our investment philosophy, processes, portfolio themes, and rationales.
  • Develop proficiency in an assigned sector to assess how market events influence potential returns and refine existing portfolio themes and perspectives.
  • Provide the IPC with regular and on-demand performance analysis and insights, proactively identifying industries and stocks poised for outperformance against selected benchmarks.
  • Engage in Investment Roundtables, Fisher Client Forums, and client/prospect meetings, delivering critical insights to our Private Client Group, Fisher International, and Institutional Group through both written and verbal communication.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in equity research.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences across multiple platforms and a commitment to supporting client service and sales initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to drive portfolio impact.
  • Intellectual adaptability and eagerness to learn and explore new methodologies, while remaining comfortable with uncertainty.
  • A strong affinity for working with data to extract insightful, fact-based conclusions.
  • Empathetic approach, recognizing the strengths and growth opportunities of others.
