Key Responsibilities:

Securities Analysts are pivotal in achieving portfolio excellence through insightful and timely evaluations of stock holdings across various strategies and thematic research for the Investment Policy Committee (IPC). Analysts will focus on specific sectors, gaining insights into trends and developments within their domains.

You will have the opportunity to expand your research and market acumen alongside driven colleagues who share a passion for financial markets. You will acquire both quantitative and qualitative skills essential for successful analysts through comprehensive training in a diverse and supportive setting. Your expertise will grow in your designated sector, enhancing your understanding of emerging trends and their relevance to Fisher Investments' overarching themes. You will report directly to the Securities Research Manager.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of our investment philosophy, methodologies, portfolio themes, and rationales.
  • Develop proficiency in a designated sector to assess how market fluctuations influence potential returns, while refining new and existing portfolio themes and perspectives.
  • Deliver regular and on-demand performance analysis and insights to the IPC, proactively identifying industries and stocks with the potential to outperform established benchmarks.
  • Engage in Investment Roundtables, Fisher Client Forums, and meetings with clients and prospects, providing critical insights to our Private Client Group, Fisher International, and Institutional Group through both written and verbal communication.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in equity research.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences across multiple platforms, and a commitment to supporting client service and sales initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate in an actionable, concise, and efficient manner to influence portfolio outcomes.
  • Intellectual adaptability and eagerness to quickly learn and explore new methodologies and communication styles, while remaining comfortable with uncertainty.
  • Enjoys working with data to extract fact-based insights.
  • Demonstrates empathy and recognizes the strengths and growth opportunities of others.
