Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse 4

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN4) to join our team at the Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW) located in Gig Harbor, Washington.

About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse 4, you will work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse to support the Department's mission to improve public safety. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing the nursing process to deliver services that promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions.
  • Providing effective communication and documentation.
  • Administering medication.
  • Providing competent patient care.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years' experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR.
  • Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor and track patient information, perform data entry and word processing, and communicate via email.
Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with a graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
