Key Responsibilities:We are seeking a highly driven individual whose efforts will embody Instron's dedication to customer satisfaction. Operating remotely, you will travel to client locations to execute a variety of services, including verification, preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on a diverse range of Instron's products.
You will receive a company vehicle and the necessary tools and equipment, including a laptop, mobile phone, and MI-FI device, along with the assurance of robust support from a well-established service operation. Your regional responsibilities will encompass clients located within specific states, with occasional travel to other areas as needed, which may involve up to 40% overnight travel.
Qualifications:What We Seek:
Ideal candidates will possess a two or four-year technical degree from an accredited institution, with knowledge of electro-mechanical systems. Equivalent military or trade school training may be considered in lieu of a degree. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic technical information related to mechanics and electronics pertinent to materials testing systems. Familiarity with blueprints and schematics, as well as understanding electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, is essential. Proficiency with PCs, including operating systems and Windows applications, is also required. This position demands a high degree of autonomy, along with exceptional organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Prior field service experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with automation systems is advantageous.
- Experience in performing preventive or corrective maintenance on servo hydraulic systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials testing is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Experience in delivering hands-on and classroom training on technical subjects is preferred.
