Job Summary

Midwest Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Robotics Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect installation sites to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain inventories of production supplies, including sensors and cables, to optimize production efficiency.
  • Document robotics test procedures and results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist engineers in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems to meet production needs.
  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components to minimize downtime.
  • Train Team Members and other personnel to install, use, or maintain robots to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or templates to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
Requirements
  • Degree in a related field, such as mechatronics, robotics, or electrical engineering.
  • At least three years' of related industry experience, with a strong understanding of robotics and automation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent mathematical ability, with a strong understanding of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to use tools and perform tasks such as soldering, welding, and metal cutting with precision and accuracy.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical wiring and computer software engineering, with experience working with CAD software.
