Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team in Eau Claire, WI. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of Instron's products.

You will be provided with a company vehicle, appropriate tools/equipment, and the support of our well-established service operation. You will have regional responsibility for customers located within Wisconsin and Minnesota, with occasional travel to other locations in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of Instron's products
  • Travel to customer sites to provide technical support and services
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics, understand electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Two or four-year technical degree from an accredited university
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic technical information
  • Experience with materials testing systems preferred
  • Experience with automation systems and servo hydraulic systems a plus
