As the HR Business Partner II, you will embody the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to our Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program while complying with all relevant policies and regulations.

The HR Business Partner II serves as a strategic ally, aligning business goals with the needs of employees and management within designated units. This role involves consulting with management on various HR matters, including performance management, workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational development.

The successful candidate will proactively assess and anticipate HR-related needs, effectively communicating these within the HR department and across business units. The HRBP II will work to develop integrated solutions, fostering partnerships among HR Centers of Excellence to deliver valuable services that align with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR resource, offering guidance and support to assigned operational units regarding employee relations, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify how HR services can support organizational priorities and strategies.
  • Design and implement comprehensive people strategies.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
  • Advise leadership on the development and execution of workforce best practices and policies that support the organization’s mission and values.
  • Provide coaching on managing employee relations issues, including performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct investigations into complaints made to HR or regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of HR processes.
  • Serve as a mentor to HRBP I colleagues.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources or healthcare management.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Strong facilitation and training abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with HR applications and MS Office programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • PHR or SPHR certification.
