Position Summary

The HR Business Partner II embodies the core mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to the organization's ethical standards and compliance protocols.

In the role of HR Business Partner II (HRBP II), you will align business goals with employee and management needs within designated units. Acting as a consultant, you will address HR-related matters, including performance management, workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will champion employee interests and drive transformative change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR resource, offering guidance on employee relations, workforce strategy, compensation, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify how HR services can support organizational objectives.
  • Design and implement comprehensive people strategies.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
  • Advise management on best practices and policies to further the organization's mission and values.
  • Provide coaching on employee relations, including performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct investigations into complaints filed with HR or regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of HR activities.
  • Act as a mentor to HRBP I colleagues.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources or healthcare management.
  • Experience in operations management, specifically as an HR Business Partner.
  • Project management and process improvement experience.
  • Strong facilitation and training abilities.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with HR software applications.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to follow-through.
  • Proven ability to facilitate effective meetings.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong skills in word processing, database management, and presentation software.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity.

Preferred:

  • PHR or SPHR certification.
