Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Dealer Tire. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our general accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
• Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Implement processes to calculate and track vendor credits, ensuring proper support and communication with vendors.
• Lead annual physical inventories, as required.
• Assist with the coordination of quarterly reviews and year-end audits with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend solutions to support implementation.
• Develop strong working relationships with associates in other functional areas, participating in cross-functional teams to provide accounting and analytical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with an advanced degree or CPA preferred.
• Five to seven years of relevant accounting experience, with knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Experience with a major ERP system, such as Oracle, JDE, or SAP.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all organization levels.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Job Requirements

• Sitting for long periods of time.
• Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
• Travel as necessary, up to 15%.
