Job Description - Lead Engineer
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director, Nuclear Engineering Consulting, Project Manager, and the Materials Engineering Laboratory Manager on both mid and small-sized projects.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can support project goals in accordance with the defined success path and identify problem areas for resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project goals and objectives
- Identify and resolve problem areas
- Work collaboratively with the project team
- Travel occasionally for site support and walkdowns
- Develop and maintain excellent communication skills with team members and clients
- Work effectively in a small office environment
- Produce high-quality technical and report writing skills
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Masters is a plus
- FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) is a plus
- Familiarity with Stress and Finite Element Analysis of Pressure Vessels and Piping
- Familiarity with Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics
- Familiarity with AISC Code and Pipe Support Design
- ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code membership is a plus
- Ability to travel occasionally and provide site support
