This position involves providing individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapeutic Services:
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address various mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work effectively with correctional staff, healthcare professionals, and external partners.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and coordinate care.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions.
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in correctional mental health.
- Offer training and support to colleagues on mental health topics.
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Registration as a Clinical Psychologist, LCSW, MFT, or LPCC.
- Desirable experience in correctional or forensic settings.
- In-depth understanding of the DSM-V and mental health diagnosis.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
