Cardiovascular Testing Department Manager

Position InformationThe Team Leader of the Cardiovascular Testing department will play a critical role in the coordination of education and daily operations of the lab. This individual will support staff to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the performance of procedure-related services. The Team Leader will also be a Registered Sonographer (Cardiac and/or Vascular modalities) and act as a department resource in the understanding of normal and abnormal Cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology.
This role requires expertise in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the Cardiovascular system. The Team Leader must be able to demonstrate expertise in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, this individual will understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values, and management of the division of Cardiovascular Services.
Experience Requirements3 years of clinical experience in a related area is required, and 2 years of leadership experience is preferred.
Education RequirementsA graduate degree in Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound, Cardiac Ultrasound, or Cardiovascular Sonography is required, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Licensure/Certification RequirementsRegistration as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Peripheral Vascular Technologist is required, and Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support are preferred.
