Cardiovascular Testing Department Manager

Position Information:The Team Leader of the Cardiovascular Testing department plays a critical role in the coordination of education and daily operations of the lab. This individual will support staff to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the performance of procedure-related services.
The Team Leader will be a Registered Sonographer (Cardiac and/or Vascular modalities) and act as a department resource in the understanding of normal and abnormal Cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology. They will also demonstrate expertise in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the Cardiovascular system.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of clinical experience in a related area and 2 years of leadership experience. A Graduate degree in Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound, Cardiac Ultrasound, or Cardiovascular Sonography is required, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring that staff meet the necessary licensure and certification requirements, including being a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Peripheral Vascular Technologist. Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support are also preferred.
The position requires the ability to work days, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
