Key Responsibilities:

This role is open to candidates in the USA, providing support to both external and internal clients across various time zones. Remote work options are available for qualified individuals.

This position reports to the Field Service Resources Coordinator.

As a part of our dynamic Field Service Operations team, candidates are expected to demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities, exhibit high performance, and possess self-motivation.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Conducting overhauls and repairs on 2-stroke marine diesel engines.
  • Performing advanced mechanical troubleshooting and system integration for 2-stroke engines and related equipment.
  • Engaging professionally with clients during service execution.
  • Commissioning service products.
  • Leading and managing onsite teams during project execution.
  • Reporting on the progress of assigned tasks to both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the creation of Service Work Reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with Wartsila's quality, environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Continuously seeking optimal solutions based on industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • A commitment to safety.
  • A desire to advance knowledge in 4-stroke engine technology.
  • Relevant technical education or a combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven expertise in the installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
  • Professional interaction with clients to deliver effective solutions.
  • Experience with slow-speed 2-stroke engines is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous.
