As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in establishing a new category for gaming and helping to define and prioritize content for Amazon customers who play games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compelling vision and thought-leadership on games to peers and stakeholders.
  • Generalize requirements gathered from a diverse set of customers, industry trends, and larger technology trends to determine minimum viable product requirements.
  • Participate in strategy planning by developing marketing-related ideas into full concepts and prototypes.
  • Stay up to date with products and services across the game industry, and also within Amazon, Twitch, and Game Studios.
  • Drive key projects worldwide with complete independence.
  • Work with developers to ensure high-quality content and features are delivered.

Requirements
  • 4+ years experience as a game designer working in the game industry.
  • Experience working with third-party developers to build great content.
  • Experience creating and documenting high-quality design guidelines and development strategies.
  • Has shipped games across a variety of platforms on time and on budget.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates process and capabilities in crafting compelling gameplay.
  • Experience communicating with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe products, and technical designs.
  • Experience working on live service games.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA, technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience creating end-to-end game experiences from the concept stage to shipping.
  • In-depth knowledge of game theory and design best practices.
  • Experience building games in a wide variety of genres, for a variety of platforms, from mobile to console.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Phaser, Babylon JS or similar HTML5 development tools.
