Under the guidance of the Quality Manager and in alignment with company policies, the Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing continuous improvement and process control strategies to meet quality standards for products and manufacturing operations. This role involves conducting investigations into product discrepancies and implementing corrective measures to address nonconformance.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and identify root causes of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings effectively. Validate the effectiveness of corrective measures.
• Establish criteria for acceptable quality levels for procured materials and supplies, collaborating with key suppliers to ensure compliance.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers, monitoring and reporting on quality performance metrics.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, product, and process engineering teams, contributing to project initiatives.
• Evaluate product and process designs for compliance with safety standards, company policies, and customer requirements, ensuring timely project completion. Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Process FMEA, and Capability Studies.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills, multitasking abilities, and team-building capabilities.
• Proficient in tools such as Excel, Access, Process Mapping Software, 3D printing, and Minitab.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean methodologies in daily operations.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, along with relevant manufacturing experience is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality-focused role.
• Familiarity with ISO9001/IATF16949 standards is required.
• Experience in project management is advantageous.
• Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for customer-related issues using the 8D methodology.
