Job Summary

This is a full-time administrative staff appointment at Charles Wright Academy. The Executive Assistant to the Head of School provides high-level administrative support, liaison presence, and office responsibility on behalf of the Head of School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex administrative support to the Head of School, Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, and general school administrative staff.
  • Assist the Board of Trustees Chair, Executive Committee, and Board Committee Chairs.
  • Manage and maintain annual documents and processes for the Board, as well as historical records.
  • Coordinate logistics for Board and Board Committee meetings, attend meetings, record proceedings, and prepare minutes.
  • Manage the Head of School's calendar, schedule appointments, and prepare materials for meetings.
  • Work with Finance and Operations departments on contractual and procedural matters.
  • Edit and coordinate the publication of major school documents and handbooks.
  • Review, edit, and proofread documents prepared by the Head of School.
  • Assist with strategic initiatives, research, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Coordinate and produce state, national, and accrediting institution reports and surveys.
  • Maintain various calendars and master school facilities use schedules.
  • Plan and manage the Head of School's annual budget and monitor accounts.
  • Assist with the administration of projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Expertise in working with detailed, confidential material.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to take accurate and concise minutes.
  • High level of organizational skill and planning capability.
  • Computer proficiency skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite for Education and Mac/Apple hardware/systems.
