Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed Cost Control Specialist to manage our cost and margin analysis functions within the Materials and Engineering Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct a team of financial analysts in the creation and execution of cost analysis initiatives.
  • Evaluate product expenses, margin frameworks, and pricing models to enhance profitability.
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to boost financial outcomes and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Oversee inventory management and perform audits to ensure precision.
  • Develop and implement procedures for margin evaluation and cost efficiency.
  • Engage in audits and collaborate with senior management to create financial forecasts.
  • Guide and nurture finance professionals within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost of goods sold (COGS), margin evaluation, and cost management.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in a financial department environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with JD Edwards software.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA.
  • Ability to influence strategic business decisions.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a related sector.
