Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Specialist to join our team at Hoffman Building Technologies. As a key member of our construction department, you will be responsible for the start-up and commissioning of DDC systems, ensuring they are functioning as designed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and prioritize commissioning projects, collaborating with the engineering and programming teams to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure proper system operability by conducting onsite performance verification with the HBT engineer.
  • Direct electrical subcontractors, prioritizing areas of completion and enforcing proper installation methods.
  • Maintain project documentation, updating wiring diagrams and sequence changes, and collaborating with project managers and programmers.
  • Complete commissioning of DDC projects, organizing and prioritizing start-up assignments, and coordinating with programming for needed modifications.
  • Communicate project information to project managers and construction coordinators, updating on construction progress and any changes in schedule or change orders.
  • Achieve financial objectives by cooperating with Ops management team in reviewing monthly job labor cost reports and initiating corrective actions as directed.
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge by attending approved educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and maintaining knowledge on proper electrical and mechanical installation methods.
  • Contribute to team effort by leading by example, initiating an open and positive attitude, and sharing technical information with associates.
  • Willingsness and ability to travel, cooperating and understanding the importance of high-profile customers with locations in multiple regions.
