Job Summary:
Hierarchy-defining Senior Claims Center Technical Lead role, upholding technical excellence in Guidewire Claims Center platform and integrations. You will lead a team of engineers across project and maintenance portfolios, ensuring seamless development, delivery, and support of Commercial Insurance and Reinsurance products.

Estimated Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development Teams for Claims Center Development, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new Commercial Insurance and Reinsurance products, as well as maintaining highly available and performing production environments.
  • Plan, control, and oversee engineering staffing needs across project and maintenance portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Business Architecture/Analysis, and Product teams to manage scope, size, planning, development, implementation, and support for projects within the Claims portfolio.
  • Represent the Claims Technology teams to establish strong business relationships with key customers, IT groups, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the IT field, 7+ years in Guidewire Claims Center integration/configuration development roles.
  • Prior technical leadership experience in Guidewire Claims Center, delivering at least 2 end-to-end Claims product implementations within the Commercial Insurance space.
  • Prior Technical Lead role with ownership of the Guidewire Claims Center production environment, including end-to-end support of the Guidewire Claims Center ecosystem.
  • Technical management experience managing onshore/offshore staff with teams between 10-20, requiring strong capacity management, priority management, and organization skills.
  • Prior experience managing multiple Claims Center Development teams, overseeing multiple technical tracks/implementation teams along with the maintenance track.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with XML, GUnit, Jenkins, GIT/Subversion/TFS, Code Coverage, and Code Scan Plugin/Tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Guidewire APIs, GX Model, and Product Models.
  • GW Claims Center Integration experience is required, with technical ownership of dozens of internal and external integrations.
  • Hands-on experience and deep knowledge with Apache Tomcat or similar application servers.
