Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the 3S Telemetry unit, working a 7P shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients, making nursing diagnoses and developing a plan of care based on assessment and nursing diagnosis.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel, taking into consideration patient safety and the educational preparation, experience, knowledge, and physical and emotional ability of the person to whom the assignments are made.
  • Implement measures to promote a safe environment for patients and others, and correctly administer medications and treatments.
  • Maintain required documentation of patient care and unit activities in accordance with standards.
  • Clarify any order or treatment regimen that the nurse has reason to believe is inaccurate, non-efficacious or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • No experience required
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas
  • BLS certification
  • Unit specific competencies obtained within six months of hire
